Sorry to hear that, Sonja. Your love of tractors made me think you, perhaps, lived on a big farm. Although we live on a very small plot of land, it's in a very fertile place. Much of the food for the U.S. is grown in central California and fresh fruit and vegetables are always plentiful, here. As grateful as we are for the life we lead, it's easy to forget how really fortunate we are to be at this place and time. Thanks for the reminder.

No, no, we do not live at a farm, we live in a condominium, a ground floor with a private garden patch on top of a basement garage.
We are mostly allow to plant how and what we please appart from drugs and extreme trees that grow tall and deep of course and also no own maturing of compost, as long we keep the privacy hedge uniform and of liguster and 2m high and the view from the little gate is not grossly unkempt.
We try to grow part of our veggies ourselves rather than keeping just a lawn or accent shrubbery.
