I'm no good at identifying flowers, but I grabbed a picture of this pretty little specimen on a warm evening at the end of August, 2006...This shot, and a few others taken along with it, first clued me in to just what the limits of the JPEG format were, which later prompted my move to RAW photography. You can see in the oranges and reds, if you look closely, just where the colours "burn out."
