It was a skinny little runt, eating dragonflies long the roadside. But it did look in reasonble shape, I guess. And it was very curious, if slightly wary, about these two humans who were paying it a lot of photographic attention.

I tried square cropping as well. It gives a different feel to the picture, and works as well. But I think I prefer this one. Although the face is right in the centre of the image (which is sort of a composition no-no), I like the whitespace (greenspace?) on the right to give the picture some counterbalance and shows the slope of the verge a bit better. The square crop obviously give full attention to the fox - it is a different image that way.
