Thanks for the comments Luca, I have not had a lot of success
with blending exposures from a tripod, but you can expose a
RAW file in different ways and then blend these exposures (it
looks like that is what I did here, I tag all these composites as
'Fake HDR' meaning I have made a bracket from one exposure).

After driving from Vancouver to Calgary and back, I was pretty
sick of highway, but the sun coming up over the Rockies was
fairly stunning so I stopped and made some exposures.

I like pictures that are not always taken with a cookie cutter, this is just fine.
