I have a COMPACT DISC with the Ubuntu, but I do not know to use. :-(

If you have the latitude and longitude the photo was taken on, you can add the tags geo:lat=<latitude> and geo:long=<longitude>, which will generate the map.

As for Ubuntu - which version of Ubuntu do you have on CD?

Hello Vincent,
I do not know where to obtain the data of longitude and latitude. I looked for in maps.google but nothing I also discovered and in the wikimapia not. The Google Earth informs, but I do not obtain to search the data (to copy and glue). I am starting to use the data supplied for www.wikimapia.com, is direct. I do not know which edition of "UBUNTU", I go to search and later I inform for you. Okkkk.

Let's say I want to set my location to Talstraße 110, Düsseldorf, Germany. When I enter that in Google Maps, I get to a page where it says in the top right-hand corner "Link to this page". Selecting that, I get the following link:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Talstra%C3%9Fe+110,+D%C3%BCsseldorf,+DE&sll=48.048485,7.957129&sspn=0.009553,0.020084&ie=UTF8&z=16&iwloc=addr

Now it's all about the following part in that link:

sll=48.048485,7.957129

From this, I read that the latitude is 48.048485 and the longitude is 7.957129, so I can add the tags

geo:lat=48.048485
geo:long=7.957129

And then we're done! :)
